When I tried to search for "Noceda" on the Friend Finder of Facebook, I came across circa 50 people bearing Noceda as their last name. We may safely assume that the Nocedas in the Philippines and the Nocedas in the United States stemmed from the same Nocedas of Mendez, Cavite, who are our relatives.

What is so interesting is that there are quite a few Nocedas in Mexico, Argentina, Peru and Dominican Republic. The common factor with these South American countries and the Philippines is that all these countries were colonized by Spain. Thus, quite a few Nocedas also turned out living in Spain.

In the past ten years, I have actually been corresponding with some Nocedas from Mexico, Peru and Spain. Some I found myself and some found me via Skype, ICQ, IRC or Facebook. It was rather difficult chatting with them because of their lack of english skills. Anyway, what I found out is that there is a commonality with the Nocedas of these countries. The Nocedas of each respective country claim that all Nocedas in their country are their relatives. This is also our case.

Are these clans related to each other? As there are not many Nocedas all over the world, do we all come from the very same spanish Noceda? IMO, it would be quite fascinating to find out!
